Humanitarian Response
Rapid, dignified support for families affected by displacement, conflict, flooding and other emergencies.
Statistics, partners, documents and stories are unverified placeholders awaiting LAHDI’s content.

Most children who are out of school are not out of school by choice. Fees, distance, insecurity, a disability the school cannot accommodate, or a family that needs another pair of hands — the reasons are practical, and so are the responses.
Education work covers the barriers on both sides of the classroom door: learning materials, uniforms and transport on one side; teacher support, safe and usable classrooms, and inclusive teaching practice on the other.
Particular attention goes to girls, to children with disabilities, and to children whose education has been interrupted and who need a route back into age-appropriate learning.
